Subject Intent

At Manor Oak Primary School Religious Education aims to develop pupil’s knowledge and understanding of the religions and beliefs of our multicultural and multi-faith community and society.

Our curriculum invites questions about the meaning and purpose of life and belief systems. Children acquire knowledge about religious traditions and world views. Our Religious Education curriculum promotes equality for all and a mutual respect and tolerance in our diverse community and society. We believe that exploring the concepts of religion and belief this will support their moral foundations and awareness necessary to establish a healthy society
